Terms of use
Last updated
The rules for using Promotr, in plain language. Promotr is in development and not yet open to customers, and these terms are an early version that will be revised before it is.
About these terms
These terms are between you and PROMOTR LLC. By using Promotr you accept them. If you use Promotr for a business, you confirm you are allowed to accept them for that business.
Applying for early access
Applying for early access creates no Promotr account, connects no advertising account and does not guarantee an invitation. Apply only with an email address that is yours to use. How an application is handled is described in the privacy policy.
Your account and organization
- Give a real email address, and keep your password to yourself.
- Organization owners decide who joins their organization and who can approve changes. Owners are responsible for what the people they invite do in Promotr.
Your ad accounts and your ad spend
- Only connect ad accounts you are allowed to manage.
- Your ad spend is between you and Meta or Google. They bill you directly; Promotr does not handle that money.
- Your ads must follow Meta’s and Google’s own advertising policies, and the law where they run. Those platforms’ terms still apply to you.
What Promotr does to your ad accounts
- Google Ads: Promotr reads, and can make three kinds of change, each only after an owner of your organization approves that exact change: pause a campaign; set up a new Search campaign that is created paused; and change one campaign’s own daily budget, never a budget shared with other campaigns, to the exact amount an owner entered. Google’s permission screen asks for broader access than this, because Google offers one permission that covers both reading and changing; Promotr uses it only for these changes.
- Meta: Promotr can make three kinds of change, each only after an owner of your organization approves that exact change: pause a campaign; set up a new campaign that is created paused; and change the daily budget set on one campaign, or on its one ad set, to the exact amount an owner entered.
- Promotr raises a daily budget only when an owner has set a daily limit for that ad account, and only if the account’s active daily budgets stay within that limit after the change. Lowering a budget does not need a limit. Promotr does not switch campaigns on, delete them, or change lifetime or shared budgets.
- Immediately before making an approved change, Promotr checks it again — the budget, the daily limit and the approval — and sends nothing if any of them no longer holds. Anyone in your organization can stop all changes; only an owner can turn them back on.
- After making a change, Promotr reads Meta or Google back, and reports a change as done only when that platform confirms it.
- Once a day, Promotr checks connected Meta accounts. The check only reads.
You stay responsible for the changes you approve, and for what your ads spend. Read what you are approving; approving it is what makes it happen. A daily budget is a setting at Meta or Google, which decide what is actually spent on any given day; it can be more than the daily budget on some days. Promotr’s daily limit only governs the changes Promotr makes; it is not a spending cap at Meta or Google.
Recommendations are advice, not a promise
Promotr’s recommendations and plans are partly written by an AI model. They can be wrong or incomplete. Promotr shows the evidence behind each one so you can judge it. Promotr does not promise any result — not sales, not customers, and not a return on your ad spend.
Using Promotr fairly
Do not:
- use Promotr to advertise anything unlawful or deceptive;
- try to reach another organization’s data or ad accounts;
- interfere with Promotr, or try to get around its limits or approvals.
Promotr may suspend an account that does these things.
Fees
Promotr does not charge anything today. If that changes, prices will be shown to you before you are asked to pay, and nothing will be charged without your agreement.
While Promotr is in development
Features may change, be removed or be unavailable at times. Promotr is built to stop safely rather than guess when something goes wrong, but it cannot promise to be always available or free of mistakes.
Stopping
You can stop at any time: disconnect your ad accounts, remove Promotr’s access in your Meta or Google settings, and delete your account. The data deletion page explains each step. Your data is handled as the privacy policy describes.
Changes and contact
When these terms change, this page changes and the date at the top changes with it. Questions: email support@promotr.dev.
